Being part of the animation team for this documentary was an eye-opening experience. While I was aware of the issue of racism against Black drivers, this project deepened my understanding of the history behind their struggles and the resilience they continue to show in overcoming them.
The graphs were designed by pulling inspiration from W. E. B. Dubois data visualizations. Dubois’ graphs beyond being beautiful are deeply inspiring, especially as he is an African American scholar and activist himself.
